We have decided that our club will now run the blow up football helmet at all of the varsity home games. in Largo Central Park, so come and show your support for the families and friends of people who have lost their lives to substance abuse. This event occurs on October 24 th 2013 at 7:00p.m. We are also involved in the NOPE Vigil, where we show our support for the people who have passed away, or who are suffering from substance abuse. We would love for you to come and support our club members that are signed up to participate in the 5K walk. On October 4 th at 5:00p.m., Walk Like MADD is hosting their annual event at Indian Rocks Beach. We also get kids to sign ‘Be The Wall’ pledges that say they will stand up against drugs and negative peer pressure. At the end of the week we set up a table at the varsity football game and we pass out candy, stickers, water etc. At the red ribbon event we spend our time getting out our message about staying drug free and safe by giving out prizes for statistics answered correctly, talking to kids at lunch, and making morning announcements. In the meeting we talked about all of our upcoming events- Red Ribbon Week, NOPE Vigil, and the Walk like MADD we also discussed different ideas for this year. We had a total of 65 students come to listen to what we had to talk about! Sixty-five! That is a new record for us, so we would like to thank everyone that came and supported us. I would like to start by talking about our first LiveFree! Club meeting for the year 2013-2014. The LiveFree! Club would like to let everyone know what our plans are for this year, and let you know some of the events that have already happened. This is McKenzie McWade, from the LiveFree! Club at Pinellas Park High School.
